Seven CLHS students completed the Sanilac County HS Career Pipeline Program this semester at the Sanilac Career Center. This was an 8 week program where students who completed an application and were accepted went to the career center 1 day per week for half of a school day to gain experiences in various occupations in the health field. Today, Ms. Burns and Mrs. Paradoski went to the Career Center to watch their graduation from the program! Each student did a short presentation of the career field they are currently thinking of following and personal skills they are working on to prepare for that. At the end of the graduation, each was presented with a certificate. Congratulations to all! #PioneerPRIDE
Congratulations to Frostick Elementary Teacher Mindy Pabst for being nominated for Staff Spotlight!
"This is my 23rd year teaching in the Croswell-Lexington School District, but I have been a Pioneer my entire life. I attended Frostick Elementary as a child, where I now teach. I graduated from Cros-Lex, was a substitute teacher here, completed my student teaching here, and was so fortunate to get my first teaching job with the district. I absolutely love our community and would not want to teach anywhere else. I have taught the children of people I grew up with. I feel blessed to have had so many people share their children with me over the years! Cros-Lex is not just a place I work, I am raising my own kids in the community and they have attended school here as well. I know when my kids and I spend the day at Cros-Lex we are all taken care of by the best staff anyone could ever ask for! We are Pioneers for life! " - M. Pabst

Congratulations to Cros-Lex Middle School Teacher Melanie Lyons for being nominated for Staff Spotlight! "Back in 1999, I joined the Croswell-Lexington Community Schools teaching staff and met my future husband, Mr. Lyons. Our community, students, parents, and staff have made this a wonderful place to call home and to raise our children. The Cros-Lex students are among the best around, which makes my career so rewarding. I can’t imagine spending my days any other way or any other place! I am proud to be a Pioneer!" -M. Lyons
There is still time to donate and help out this fantastic project!
Had some Halloween Fun today at the high school. We brought back the good old days of calling in the radio DJ to answer trivia and win prizes. DJ Ms. Burns read Halloween Trivia on the PA system and then the classrooms who were the right number caller to her office with the right answer to the Halloween trivia question won a candy treat. Candy was delivered hourly to to total of 8 different classrooms. Definitely a fun day! Here are pictures of 4 of the winning classrooms throughout the day! Have a Safe and Happy Halloween, Pioneers!

Congratulations to Cros-Lex High School Teacher Stephanie Davis for being nominated for Staff Spotlight!
"As a teacher, there is no other place I would rather work and no other community I'd raise my family in. As a former Pioneer, having the opportunity to work in the schools I attended, live in the community I grew up in and stay rooted in the community my family continues to live in has brought so much joy to my life there is no other place I could imagine being. Once a Pioneer, always a Pioneer!" S. Davis
A representative from Jostens was on campus today talking to seniors about ordering caps and gowns and to sophomores about class rings. Students received packets with information for families.
