Good afternoon, Meyer Families! This is a reminder that tomorrow, 11/2, is Picture Day at Meyer. Thank you!

Our Meyer students, with the help of parents, had the opportunity to decorate a pumpkin to look like a character from one of their favorite books. All students were able to vote on their favorite pumpkin. Here are the winners. We think everyone did a great job. More pictures to follow. 🎃💙

Good things are happening here at Meyer Elementary School! We are so proud of our hard working students and staff! 💙

Good afternoon, Elementary Families: Our outdoor Halloween Parade has been canceled due to the weather. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you!

Good afternoon, Elementary Families: The weather is not looking good for tomorrow’s Halloween Parade; therefore, we wanted to let you know that if it is raining around 1:00 P.M., we will be canceling our outdoor parade through town and students will be celebrating with their classmates inside instead. Guests will not be able to come into the building to join their students. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience and are still hoping that the weather will cooperate. Thank you!

Meyer Elementary would like to thank Debbie Lyons, former Meyer Elementary teacher, for her generosity! Each month, Debbie is donating $200 worth of books to the Meyer library as a way to honor the memory of her sister who recently passed away and in recognition of her service to the school. The book choices are based on student and teacher requests and on topics of interest noted by Maureen Bongard, our Meyer library specialist, who is creating a list each month. Debbie and her husband, Phil, are avid readers with a personal collection of over 10,000 books and they are excited to share their love of reading with the students of Meyer Elementary. Pictured are Debbie and Phil Lyons, holding the first books donated this year. The books on the table are the books donated so far this year, including books Debbie purchased from the Scholastic Book Fair, for our library. Thank you Debbie and Phil for your amazing generosity! 💙📚

Congratulations to our weekly PRIDE winners! 💙
