Good afternoon Pioneers! We are excited to be offering 5th grade Cross Country Club this year! Practice will begin on Monday, September 19, and will run two to three days per week for four weeks. Students will have the chance to participate in 3-4 meets. More information will be available in the next few days!

Tuesday, Sep 6th (5th Grade 5-6:30) & (6th Grade 6-7:30) Wednesday, Sep 7th (5th Grade 5-6:30) & (6th Grade 6-7:30) Friday, Sep 9th (5th & 6th Grades 5-6:30)

ATTENTION ALL 5TH & 6TH GRADE GIRLS: Tryouts for the 5th & 6th grade girls basketball teams will be held on: Tuesday, Sep 6th (5th Grade 5-6:30) & (6th Grade 6-7:30) Thursday, Sep 8th (5th Grade 5-6:30) & (6th Grade 6-7:30) Friday, Sep 9th (5th & 6th Grades 5-6:30) Girls must attend two of the three tryout dates in order to be eligible to make the team. Tryouts will take place in the MS Gym. Please bring a water bottle, gym shoes and a basketball if you have one. Good afternoon Pioneer families! I have a couple of fall sports updates to share with you. Cross Country practice times will be slightly adjusted, from 3:00 - 4:15 pm. Days and location will stay the same. Sideline Cheer, open to grades 6-8, will begin on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 3:15-5:15 pm. Meet outside the MS cafeteria. Remember to complete the online registration process through Student Central! Instructions have been sent out several times this summer. On Saturday, August 13th 12-3pm at the Swinging Bridge Park in Croswell, Croswell Wesleyan Church is hosting the Back to School Expo. This is a family oriented back to school community outreach event designed to meet the back to school needs of students and families in and around our community and offer a day of community fun for all. Students can bring their supply lists and “shop” for free school supplies. Students must be present to receive supplies. Local salons and barber shops will have several stylists on-site that will be offering free back to school haircuts to all students as well. Dr. Gormley and McKenzie Health have also partnered with us to offer free sports physicals to our middle and high school students on site. We will have physical forms available at the event. They must be signed by a parent in order for the student to be seen. We have lots of family fun in store as well. J&N Party Tent and Rentals will be bringing bounce houses for the kids. The firemen will be bringing down their firetruck for the kids to explore. We will have a picnic lunch sponsored by Jeff’s Market and our local fireman. CL Spirit will be hosting some fun tumbling activities during the event as well, and we will have raffles and prize give-aways throughout the day. We want to thank all of our community sponsors who have signed up thus far. We want this to be an event that the whole community can participate in and bring their families too. Cros-Lex Lady Pioneers 10U Team: Little League State Champs! Cros-Lex Lady Pioneers had 11 hits in the game. Livey, Piper, Kinsley, and Gray managed multiple hits for Cros-Lex. Gray, Kinsley, Piper, and Livy each collected two hits. The Lady Pioneers stole seven bases, two players with more than one, and Gray with three steals! Congratulations to the new Little League 10U state champs, Cros-Lex Lady Pioneers! We are proud of our students!

End of the School Year Sports Update Good morning Middle School families! As we finish up another school year, here is some sports-related information! Summer Sports Camps Attached is information on two upcoming summer sports camps for students. Flyers are also available outside the middle school office. Grades listed are for next school year! Cheerleading (Grades PK-8) - June 13-15, 2022 Boys and Girls Basketball (Grades 3-8) - June 20-23, 2022 Sports Physicals Sports physicals can be completed now for next school year! Physical forms are available outside the middle school office. We will also be offering sports physicals here at the middle school on Thursday, June 2, 2022. More information to come! Semester Eligibility Remember, in order to be eligible to participate in sports next fall, students must pass 5 out of 6 classes with a 60% or higher this spring semester!
